What we put into our bodies plays a role in how we look on the outside and a balanced diet, essential hydration, and exercise are the building blocks for flawless hair and skin. Of course, all that self-care will lower your stress, allow you to sleep better, and help you through the days leading up to the wedding.
Care for your hair to look your bridal best
In order for your hair to look incredible on your destination wedding day, prepping starts long before the main event. You will need to consider hair treatments, conditioning, coloring, extensions, and cuts in the months leading up to your nuptials. Yes, the whole package darling! Bridal Trial: It all starts here, a consultation and a trial run with Doranna and the Glam Squad should be booked about 2 months before your wedding. Define your look, plan ahead for color, length, extensions, hair pieces, and veils, and develop a haircare schedule.
Hair treatments: Choose a product designed for your hair, weekly hair treatments are a fabulous way to bring shine and health. A leave-in conditioner is ideal, letting the nutrients penetrate the hair shaft for at least 3-10 minutes for optimal results.
Color: Work with your colorist at home to find your bridal look, coloring every 5-10 weeks (always ask for a deep conditioner after a color session!) The last coloring should be done about 1-2 weeks before your wedding.
Cut: Keeping hair healthy includes regular haircuts to remove any damaged locks. We recommend scheduling your last cut for 2-3 weeks before your wedding.
Extensions: Feeling a little thin on top? Extensions are a bride’s best friend for maximizing volume and length and the full bridal fantasy. Plan maintenance appointments for your extensions every 5 weeks, with the last one being one week before your wedding.
How to get glowing skin for your destination wedding day
Step up your skincare routine in the months before your wedding to create the perfect canvas for your bridal makeup and the healthiest look for your photos.
Daily skincare: Gently cleanse your skin morning and night and never go to bed with makeup on! Use a moisturizing day cream with SPF protection and a night cream and serums made for your specific skin type.
Exfoliate: Don’t overdo it with exfoliation, three times a week is enough to remove dead skin cells and bring healthy new cells to the surface. Always moisturize and use a serum after exfoliating.
Monthly facials: Indulge, you deserve it and it makes a huge difference in the health of your skin! Treat yourself to monthly facials designed for your particular needs, the last one scheduled for a week before your wedding day. Brides with skin concerns like acne should reach out to their dermatologist or skin care specialist six months before the wedding.

Don’t wait until the last minute, find your lash and brow experts a few months before the wedding and get the last treatment one week before the wedding. Tanning: Spray tans are a great way to have a healthy glow all over your body and get rid of any tan lines that may be distracting in photos. Start 1-3 weeks ahead, your last session should be 1-2 days before the wedding day.
